Here you will find a presentation of previous case law on international inheritance law. Case law in this area is characterised in particular by the European Court of Justice (ECJ). As international inheritance law in the EU is essentially determined by the European Succession Regulation, the ECJ has a special role to play here. It has the final decision-making authority when it comes to the interpretation of European laws. We have therefore dedicated a separate category to its case law.
